How to wall mountain your TV (X80H, X90H, X91H, X95H series of 55, 65 inches)


This page is a guide for using the compatible Wall Mountain Unit (SU-WL450) to mount the X80H, X90H, X91H and X95H series (55 inch and 65 inch) on a wall.

Of import:
For product protection and safety reasons, Sony recommends that the mounting of your Idiot box on the wall is performed past Sony dealers or licensed contractors.

  1. Precautions

    • For more detailed information and precautions about wall mounting, see the Wall-Mount Subclass Operating Instructions and the Installation Information (Wall-Mountain Subclass) on the product page of your TV.
    • The wall should be capable of supporting a weight of at least 4 times the TV weight. Regarding the TV weight, refer to Wall mounting compatible information.
      Sufficiently reinforce the wall to which the TV will be mounted if it is not strong plenty.
    • Be sure to apply the supplied screws and attachment parts properly. If y'all use substitute items, the Idiot box may fall and cause bodily injury to someone or damage to the Television.
  2. Preparing the required parts and tools

    Confirm that you take all of the parts.

    • Accessories for the Wall Mountain Unit of measurement (SU-WL450)
      Merely the parts below will be used. The other parts will not be used, so store them with the Operating Instructions in a safe place.

    • Accessories for the Telly
      The Wall-Mount Attachment "VS" will be used.

      NOTE:
      The Wall-Mount Attachment "VS" is included with the TV. Please note that information technology is not included with the Wall Mount Unit of measurement.

    • Other things to prepare
      Prepare the types of tools and screws beneath based on the material of the wall to which the Television receiver volition be mounted.
  3. Mounting the Wall Mount Unit of measurement to a wall

    1. Deciding on the mount position of the TV
      1. Determine on the approximate "top" at which the Television will be mounted.
        Take into account the environment where you will watch Idiot box (such as the sofa) when deciding the mount position such as "peak".

      2. Make up one's mind on the mount position of the Television.
        Check whether there is enough space (width, height, depth) on the wall to mountain the TV.

    2. Choosing the wall mounting style.

      Choose between two installation methods: Standard, which creates space betwixt the wall and the Television, or Slim, which brings the TV closer to the wall. With Slim mount, the TV feels integrated into the wall, allowing for a more than streamlined appearance.
      The installation process differs depending on the mounting style.

      NOTE:
      If you choose the Slim mount, utilize of the inputs on the back may be limited.

      For the dimensions indicated by letters in the figure, refer to the table below. (The figure is from KD-65X8000H)

    3. Mounting the base to the wall
      1. For Standard mount, attach the base adapter to the base of operations.
        Ostend the "b" positions in the figure beneath for the attachment positions.
        * For Slim mount, attaching the base of operations adapter is not required.

        Use the screws (PSW four×ten) included with the Wall Mountain Unit to adhere the base adapter to the base.

      2. Place the base of operations on the wall and marshal it with the screw hole positions set in "1-three Make up one's mind on the mount position of the base of operations of the Wall Mount Unit." above, employ a level so that the base is horizontal, and marker the mountain position (iv spiral holes).

      3. Brand holes at the marked points.

      4. Utilize at least iv screws with diameters equivalent to 8mm (prepared separately) to mountain the base of operations to the wall.
        Use a level to mount the base horizontally.

  4. Attaching parts to the Television receiver

    Brand sure to attach the Table-Top Stand before proceeding and installing the TV to the wall by referring to the Setup Guide.
    1. Remove the screws on the back of the Boob tube.

      Remove four screws from the back of the TV.
      * Store the removed screws with the Operating Instructions in a safe place.

    2. Adhere the Wall-Mount Attachment (supplied with the Boob tube) to the rear of the TV (to go far parallel with the wall).

      1. Attach the caster and screws (+PSW six×twenty). Tighten the screws firmly so that they are non loose.

      2. Attach the belt and spacer with screws (Standard mount: +PSW six×fifty, Slim mount: +PSW 6×twenty).

    3. Connect the necessary cables to the Television set.

      Connect the power string, antenna cable, and HDMI cables before mounting the TV on the wall. In one case you mountain the Television receiver on the wall, you volition not be able to connect the cables. Make certain to connect them before mounting the Goggle box on the wall.

      NOTE:
      If y'all choose the Slim mount, use of the inputs on the back may be limited.

    4. Detach the Table-Top Stand from the Television.

      NOTES:

  5. Attaching the TV to the Unit

    Annotation:

    1. Attach the TV to the base adapter (Standard mount) or the base (Slim mountain).
      1. Securely adhere the pulley on the back of the TV while aligning it with the holes of the base adapter or base.

      2. Confirm that the caster properly reaches the ends of the grooves on the base adapter or base of operations.

    2. Foreclose the bottom of the Telly from wobbling.

      Attach the chugalug to the wall and then that information technology is non loose, and secure information technology in place using a screw with a diameter equivalent to 5mm (prepared separately).
